HOUSE IN YAYOIDAI
HOUSE IN YAYOIDAI is located on a small lot in the Yokohama metropolitan area - a suburb of Tokyo.
To maximize the living area, several rooms are at a semi-underground level. The two courtyards within the property create ample airflow and bring in generous natural light into the house. Several skylights make the interiors even brighter, blurring the boundary between the indoor residence and outdoor landscape. The house is structured with exposed concrete and lightweight steel elements.
